The City of Landrum was founded in 1880 and incorporated 1912. Located on the border of North and South Carolina just south of Tryon, the City of Landrum is nestled against the backdrop of the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. The nearby Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (“FENCE”) draws equestrians and horse enthusiasts from around the country to a full slate of horse shows of all types, including the famous Blockhouse Steeplechase which takes place each April.
Landrum is easily accessed from Exit 1 on I-26, as well as US Highway 176.
